From California looking to move in Bedstuy. My apartment is in the 300's and I am curious if that is a safe neighborhood or not. I have not heard the best things about Malcolm X Blvd. Thank you!

That's the edge of Stuy Hts, I own a building there. I don't have any problems with the neighborhood. It's changed a lot from when I purchsed my building in 04.
I think that particular block is okay. Probably one of the nicer parts of Stuyvesant. Depends on what you'd consider safe. In general it is one of the less safer neighborhoods in the city, but I assume that you already know that and it is why Bed-Stuy appeals to you in the first place. If you really want a safe nabe you'd look elsewhere, but if you want to follow the herd it'll be a good place to do so.
Here is a fact, any street named after a prominent black person (Malcolm X blvd, Dr. Martin Luther King Ave, Jackie Robinson Blvd) is usually a band area.

Yeah, I hear there are some really good bands in Bed Stuy and ENY these days.

The Jackie runs through both good and bad nabes. It connects them more so than integrate.
Modern-day, black double agents for cointelpro make black rights activists' streets dangerous. That is all that is about.
What's up with all these majorities taking over the hoods of brooklyn tho? Is that all they can afford in 2015? What cultural contribution are they really making to Brooklyn?
When is the last time you heard good things about Malcolm X Blvd in any city?
LOL!
My thoughts exactly.
Don't know the area but I'm going to guess that the answer here is "NO"
