I second that. Unless of course you're absolutely certain you'll be earning a good amount of $$$,$$$ per year. Rent is noo joke in NYC. Like MichaelReilly said, anything under $2k won't get you s#it. Especially urban areas where almost everything is a walking distance, you'd have to consider money for expenses such as food, laundry, cable bill, etc which could run you up to $1500+ a month even more if you have a family to take care of. I'm not saying do this or do that, but I wouldn't make that jump and move to this city without any of that stuff taken into consideration.

Where would you say is the best place to live in New York?
Hmmm... I just dumped a Kamillah from London. Dated her while stationed at RAF Mildenhall. Always talking about moving to New York to reunite. She wasn't born in '92, though...

We are moving to Forest Hills, Queens this summer. Probably not the trendiest or hippest of areas but it's not too far from the action but far enough to be family friendly and a little easier on the budget. If I didn't have to think about schools I'd be on the upper west side in a hear beat in the 90's... by Riverside Park. That is my favorite part of New York.
