Gotta love all the big craters on the highway and roads in NYC. Last year's pothole repairs already broke again.

To those with big SUV on the road, why are you afraid of driving over potholes? Your big SUV is built for this type of offroading terrain try using the vehicle for what it is built for.

Only those with 22" rims should worry about potholes.

Nobody's gonna damage or wreck their car just because someone in back of them wants them to speed up. You're not going to pay their repair bill or take them somewhere when their vehicle is in the shop.

Most of the "SUVs" on the roads are actually crossovers built on a car chassis, unless you are trailing a Jeep or Land Cruiser. However, most off-road driving is done at a crawl, hence the term "rock crawling," because speed can damage components on the vehicle.

I remember in Jan, I was following a Livery Cab going down the Koziusco bridge. He hit a giant pothole and his wheel literally came half off and he ended up hitting the guardrails. I didn't have time to avoid the pothole and hit it straight on. Fortunately my subuaru forester has a high bouncy suspension that handles potholes beautifully and I just had a loud thud without any damage.

After seeing someone's wheels literally falling off, I don't blame anyone for going slow over potholes.
