Interesting. Thank you for the suggestion. How often would you say you had it done? And how frequently?
Been going once a week. Felt immediate relief. Am now into my 5th week. I initially went for wrist pain. The PT explained that wrist pain can be referred from the shoulder and started working there and into my neck. Once he went to the shoulder and neck I got relief from TMJ pain. I would also suggest yoga. If you don't already have a mouth guard I would suggest that too. Good luck and feel free to PM me for more info. Sorry this went a bit off topic OP.
I picked a dentist just because he took my insurance and was close by. Never wait and he's the one who does the cleanings, as opposed to the hygienist.
I have been going for 20 years to this guy & never felt a twinge of pain or like I am in a cattle car or just another number. I cannot say enough good about him & am leaving this info in part because I will be leaving him this year ( I don't go into Manhattan much any more except for him ) & feel like I want to fill in another patient in my absence. (And I may return if I experience a cattle car DDS in my new one)
Dr Edward "Trey" Wilson, he actually has a website, drtrey .com, does charity work overseas (Africa, Haiti) really cares about the person not just a procedure, very holistic I guess, I'll stop here because I know I'm sounding like an ad. The one possible neg is that you pay all fees in full after the procedure & they will submit your insurance papers so you get a refund from them. He is midtown east.
I lucked out since I originally picked him at random.
When dentists search to find if they are good they always say "Did you have any pain."
My response, which they never care to hear is "To Hell with pain, I want work that stands up, looks good, and is reasonably priced."
They look perplexed by this, like I am speaking a foreign language?
