And it's faster to exit the D at the front of west 4th and take the 9th street PATH.
That said, I know several people in southern Brooklyn who take the WTC PATH.

Of course, using the trains depends on WHERE in Hoboken you work. Near First St., fine. Up near 14th, not so fine.
If you have to add the Washington Street bus to the mix it may be worse than driving.
