Are there still any WASPs left in NYC? I realize some businesses might still be named after long-dead WASP founders. And there may be a few token WASPs here and there. But their heyday is long gone.

How many WASPs are on the Supreme Court? How many on the Federal Reserve? How many lead media companies? How many lead high tech or social media companies?

I think WASPs run oil and some leftover rust belt industries. Not much else.

Come on up to their native habitat; the Upper Eastside, you'll find more than a few WASPS.


They are also on Sutton Place, parts of Greenwich Village and elsewhere if you know where to look. Hang out at J.G. Melon for a start.
