Really, they should work it the other way. Force employers and landlords (lot the least of which would be NYCHA) to do background checks and reject applicants with criminal backgrounds.

What do you mean mishap? If you break the law you are arrested. If you have your day in court and you are found not guilty, you will not have a record. On the other hand if you are found guilty, you will have a record.

Simple answer- DON'T BREAK THE LAW.

Those who currently call themselves conservatives are semi literate high school drop out. NYC is the epicenter of global capitalism.

They cannot compete on any major level so they hate what they can't deal with.
