I hear people say that New Yorkers Are Mean, Rude, & Always Cursing. I don't know if I can agree with that , but I do know that living in New York can be a Challenge if you are not street smart. It really make New York seem so fast paced. It somewhat makes me understand why people say that they would'nt move to New York. What do you think ?

People from Ohio are the same way; I'm one of them.

That would not prevent me from moving to New York. But then I can be that way myself, so it doesn't bother me. If you really want to move somewhere, you'll do it.

New Yorkers for the most part are not really rude. We just don't have the same open hospitality as most other cities. But that hospitality is usually just on the surface in other cities. If someone can't deal with the reality of people telling it like it is, then NY is probably not the place for them. But again, this is only surface behaviors that are different. As someone who's traveled damn near everywhere, people are generally all the same.
Lol. Seriously though New Yorkers aren't any different from any other Northerners. People talk about the Midwesterners and West Coast being laid back. Don't let them fool you. They're talking about Southern Midwesterners, and Californians. And even then, if you're slow someone will call you out on it.
People aren't rude as much as they are alert. If you want Southern hospitality, move to the South. Realize that Southern hospitality is sarcastic at best, passive aggressive at worst. Southerners are good at allowing you to put your foot in your mouth; Northerners will tell you how to put your foot in your mouth. That's the primary difference.
