so I was finally called in for an interview for one of the affordable housing lotteries
however when I applied for a unit in this particular complex two years ago, I was making less money than I am now and fell within the income guidelines
my current salary exceeds the maximum income requirement for a studio apartment in this complex (they only allow single occupancy for studios) but i went on the interview anyway
when I told my interviewer I am making more money now and am over the maximum income she said I probably won't get the apartment but we decided to process my paperwork anyway
my question is do they go by my current salary or my 2014 w2?
if they go by my 2014 salary I may still fall within the income guidelines
one good thing that came out of this is at least now I know what paperwork they ask of you when they call you in for an interview
surprisingly they asked for less documentation than parkchester did when I applied for an apartment with them
so at least now I can't have all my paperwork ready for if/when I'm called again for another lottery apartment
however I'm realizing that most single occupant lottery apartments usually require salaries that are no more than mid 30s so I don't think I will qualify for alot of apartments unless I get my sister who is currently unemployed to say that she is going to be living with me

That would be fraud if she's not going to be living with you.
