SO...there's THIS:

Ladies, there are men in NYC! (but not where you’re looking) | Visualizing NYC

I have to commute to Westchester 3 days a wk and work in UWS the rest of the time. Thoughts about where I should live to have an "easy" commute by car (I will have a car service driving me to/from Westchester but the time is an issue and I prefer not to be stuck in traffic) but where I can also go out and easily meet women after a long day at the office? I may get home some days at 10 pm and other days at 6 pm...

Was thinking Midtown West, but according to the map in the above article that's linked, Midtown West is mainly single guys...seems like I should live in UWS or UES to meet single women in their early 30s?

A lot of girls live on the UES, at least according to a random sampling of people I know. Hell's Kitchen is also very popular among the young gay set, also according to a random sampling of people I know. When I want to talk to guys, I usually do the west village, financial district on a week day or Williamsburg (my hood) on the weekend.

Why do you want to meet women only in their early 30's?

More of an issue regarding wanting to date someone for a bit before starting a family and not having to deal w/ the increased risk of genetic abnormalities past the age of 35...it is what it is (am probably going to catch a lot of slack here from the PC police...). Plus, many women in that age range (if still single) are looking to settle down. Less baggage too (could say the same for guys too...we get more baggage as we get older).

You can meet anyone anywhere as long as you have a mouth and personality.

True dat; I also like the "path of least resistance." In an ideal world, I'd just outsource all the screening/dating...hah!

Thanks. I am looking at UES, but it just seems like it'd be too problematic getting out of the city; I'll also be spending a few days on CPW, around 81st. If I lived on the West side, I could just walk to work or take the metro. However, if I live in UES, it's at least a bus/metro ride (unless I want to take multiple trains).

Haha. I've actually found a lot of my real estate agents are actually fairly attractive. Is that a given in the real estate industry?

Im actually an agent (male) It helps to be attractive in any field but i know some very attractive agents who have left the industry in a few months. Just like life, looks can only get you so far without personality.
