Some posters on here consider Brooklyn to be most c ghetto. Look at the recent string of shootings that took place in that borough.

I don't know if I'd get all excited just yet about the Bronx time has come. I know from reading on here there are lots of development projects proposed to happen there but it's one step at a time. This part seems to be the continuation of the restoration of the Grand Concourse.

In the Wiki article is says that city officials used 18 million to widen streets, improve the lighting and landscaping and create large exit signs form 161st - 167th street along the GC, completed in 2008. The linked citation number 8 had more extensive information if you want to look at it. There is also a brief mention about funding being allotted for the second portion of the reconstruction of the GC between 167th - 171st street. I suspect that's what happening currently with the sidewalks.

I'll know the Bronx has arrived when certain folks have taken over the grand concourse and Starbucks is in at least 4 locations of the south Bronx. That's when sh#* will be real.

Well you have plenty of gays in the Bronx especially some parts of the GC. These tend to be minorities and or interracial couples but still. Bronx does have an out gay Latino city council member as well.

Usually where the gays go others follow.....
