The street that is located in the Financial District, spelled V-e-s-e-y, how is that pronounced? There are two major schools of thought, but I am not going to share them, because I don't want to influence the debate. I just know that people look at me funny by the way I say it, and I am pretty sure I am saying it correctly, because I looked it up. Thanks for the info!

The guy who it was named after might have had an opinion. Me, I pronounce it "Vesey" :-)

LoMa's not cool? Lol, my bad. Thought I was coining my own word, like Shakespeare. I pronounce it like you though, people think I am saying it wrong.

"LoMa"? Caring about how a certain street name is pronounced?

You must be a transplant?

I think it's supposed to be "Vessey". I can't remember exactly how I know that, but I used to say "Vee-zee" and then found out that was wrong. Maybe my memory will return and I'll be able to tell you why, lol.

It's named for William Vesey, the first rector of Trinity Church. That I do remember!
