I currently go to Crunch on 54th and am not happy with it and want to move on (my membership states that can only go to that location and it is probably the worst out of all the Crunch's). Currently on my list to investigate is the Manhattan Plaza Health Club and The Mercedes Club. What others should I look at?
Thanks

Moderately Priced means different things to different people.
If you could afford Crunch, then you'd be able to do NYHRC, used to be a a member but left for NYSC a few years ago for the plethora of locations all over the NYC [and my job takes me all over the five boroughs and parts of Jersey as well] and I get a corporate rate off a Passport Membership and a kickback from my health insurance.
Though recently NYSC has instituted a $20 ghetto pricing plan [like Planet Fitness] where you join one club only and can't get towels; not all clubs do this and there are a few in midtown.

Blink fitness is pretty decent for a budget gym.

I used to work out there when it was Prescriptive Fitness and Golds. Once Golds Gym came around it attracted the worst crowd ever. Nasty queens and Biatch Model types/Yuppies that don't share machines.

What is it like now ?
