Thats the reason I moved to Canarsie.
BKTony,

As much as I want to disagree with you, your right, lol. Damn, can't fight you on that one.

I don't know why I had problems with some of my neighbors in Bushwick. It couldn't be a racial thing because both me and those idiots are Latino. I guess alot of the neighborhood thought I was stuck up because I didn't really hang out with any of them. Don't get me wrong, most of the people in Bushwick were decent. It was just that group of young punks who made noise all night and left empty bottles in front of my house. I like Canarsie better seems like everyone here minds their business and its pretty quiet at night.

The Bronx, Melrose.
pro's- Close proximity to Manhattan, and Queens (by car). Near large shopping district in Bx (3rd Ave) and a short Bus ride to Fordham. In the middle of new re-development zone which will improve neighborhood.

con's- difficult to own a car in this area, and if you do car theft can be a major issue. Buses run less frequently at night. Is for the most part a young neighborhood, and kids can be knuckle heads.

Queens Village, Queens NY

Pros: Just moved here from Kansas. Seems like a nice residential area. Very diverse. Free parking on the street. Lots of cheap places to eat.

Cons: I'm spoiled and used to Walmart. The grocery stores here just don't have a lot of variety.I had to scan three grocery stores to get a large can of Maxwell's House Coffee and eventually had to settle for a different flavor when I did find it. Customer service sucks no matter where you go. They act so bothered if you ask them a question.

Travelling by public transport is not as easy as in other parts of town.

Default Where in NYC is everyone from?

I am curious as to where everyone is from and how long they have been in thier current location. It seems that many people have strong opinions on Manhattan and Brooklyn and never even lived here, or have been here less than 5 years.

I am from LI originally, lived in Manhattan for over 5 years in midtown west.
