Hello,

I recently saw some really good deals on craigslist for Queens. Several listings for under 1k per month for great 2 bedrooms with new kitchens (and sometimes a parking space). Heat and hot water included, and in good neighborhoods like Clearview and Glendale. Jamaica Estates too. Are these real, or probably scams? I was under the impression that a decent 2 bedroom in Queens would run at least 1800. Thanks.

Yeah . . . no way those are legit. Did they even bother to include pictures?

Scams. I have seen plenty of these ads and they usually have pics.

Scam, I don't know of many places in the US where a renovated or new 2bd would be less than 1k.

You can usually tell whether or not it's legit from the quality of the pics. Sometimes they'll be blatantly stolen from a realtor's website, and sometimes they'll include timestamps that are two or three years old or have terrible quality lighting (usually to cover something up).
