Is there anything I can do about this situation?
2 or 3 months ago we got a whole new AC unit in our apartment because the previous one was from the 1970s and barely worked. They told us that they will come within the week and install our heat. Well 2-3 months go by and the past week it has been getting chilly in Buffalo NY (40 degrees at night) and I have a 10 month old and we having been trying to contact the owners and the phone just rings non stop and we can never get a hold of them. Then around noon on a Friday they finally answered and said we will get someone to come in next week and fix it. It says it is 65 degrees in the living room but it feels a lot colder. I am in a hoodie and sweatpants with a thick blanket and my nose is all cold and I am shaking. My son feels warm but I feel like this is wrong should I not be paying rent? I just paid the rent for October 1st and we will be moving out November 1st. Would I be able to get the rent back?
