Hello guys

I just declined a 1bd apartment. The apartment was beautiful but Im a single mom with 3 years old baby girl and I have been offered a 1bd (2bd apartments are gone).

After seeing the apartment I have made a hard decision and said no. The apartment was kind of small to have a baby girl with me in a room.

Process times was over 7 months , every few months they are asking for another document , by the time they were ready to show me an apartment the 2bd were gone. so sad...

Just waiting for something better to come a long...

Wish you all the bestof luck.

You have mentioned whole process took around 7 months. What was your log # around?
I contacted them, they told me to wait since they didn't reach my number yet. it has been 4 months for me.

great post. I've been watching Via 57 West and it's a awesome structure. Do you really think the sanitation building and port will make a difference?

My first communication with them was in june. They did not know if they have any 2bd available back in June but Ive got a confirmation two weeks ago that they are all gone.
Good luck to you the 1bd was beautiful

No worries. I think HChen42 is in front of us, so if you're given the opportunity for a 2BD apartment and are on the waiting list, then stick around for a bit. It's not like we're log#50k+. I'll let you know whenever I move in. In the meantime do what you got to do. Ignore the negative nancy's that say: "you're acting too entitled, etc.," and worry about what is best for your daughter. Nobody here knows your situation or problems so leave that to the eligibility specialist to decide. Only reason we got offered 2/3 BD is because we told the truth.

Sometimes ppl don't understand actions ppl take -- they don't know their past. simple. But if you want my sound advice it's freezing cold outside. A young daughter needs her mom at her side. I know how it feels to be young and only see your mom for one hour before going right back to bed at such a young age. Well, if you already got a good place to stay, then patience is our best virtue in these tough times.

I Never listen to negativity, Ive got more then enough negativity from my ex...
We live in 1bd rent stabilized apartment and was hoping to give my daughter a room of her own, Im not looking to move to VIA 57 just because its a fancy building, I was really hoped to live in a bigger place.

How is it going with your process?

What kind of heating system does the VIA 57 offer?

All I could find was:
Ventilated Fresh Air Supplied to Each Residence

hlch, I am sorry you had to go through a tormenting choice like that. I know how it feels to be forced to say NO to what seems an astounding deal. Take solace in your rent stabilized apartment. Can you partition the living room for your little one's little bedroom?
