The good news is that The Wavecrest Management Team is much better than Breaking Ground. The bad news is that the income bracket has changed and it is great for some, while is terrible for others. Oh well....
Good luck to all candidates.
Does this affect our 2015 lottery applications? Now i'm worried and sad... My family will no longer qualify under these new income guidelines if they affect us. My mom's dream ever since she came as an immigrant, then worked at 57th St for almost 20 years was to live on that street after making so many friends there. I don't know how these lottery's work anymore, and idk how to break it to her if it does disqualify us. My soft gentle heart is confused... I sent Breaking Ground an e-mail this morning to see what's going on...?
I went on an interview for this lottery 2 weeks ago after submitting my paperwork in 2016. They wanted me to update my file and I was told I'm being considered for a one or two bedroom.
Added 5% for affordable housing. It means there are total 25% units for affordable housing. Different income level.
Oh. So that means a total of 178 units are now open for affordable housing. That means a hard working teacher can enter the lottery now, that's awesome. Well, since NyCapt1 is being considered, then it seems they won't change our income requirements for our lottery. I will wait a few days for an e-mail response, then see what Breaking Ground tells me.
I guess I felt a little bit better about everything when I went outside around 8pm last night, because it was very cloudy, and all I felt was 1 drop of rain falling for a good hour. It really got my attention off other things. Now i'm awake, saw Capt's message, then I was like, yay! He's being considered too!

From my experience Wavecrest Management is worse then breaking ground. breaking ground offered me another afforatnle housing since they fuc$$ up with Via.
I was in proces with Wavecrest Management for 28th street buidling and I stopped the process because that they made so many mistakes and I had to appeal 3 times for different reasons
Good luck to everbody

I think that I am enough luck, for VIA was the first time which I applied affordable housing. I applied more than 40 projects on line after applying VIA, but no chance to be interviewed. In fact, You are the most lucky guy, because you got so many chances to be interviewed. Do you think applying by paper work has more chance than applying on line?

Last Thursday I got a reply from one of the leasing Managers. He told me that all the 2bd units have people assigned to them, and that i'm the waiting list for one of those units. I was told to continue waiting patiently until a unit is available. I'm just glad almost everyone here is in, because I can continue to do patience. I'm just happy that communication with me and BG is still going smoothly. I sent a follow up question the next day. Maybe i'll do a 1 year hiatus, then check back in with you guys. Idk yet.
