Sometimes if you don't like something about yourself, you will attempt to change it, if you can.
It's pretty evident that you wish you were white (or non-black) and that's pretty sad. In that case I'd suggest bleach or whatever the f*ck Michael Jackson did to his face.

Where did I state anything about wanting to be white? Ghana is an African nation.

I'm very much homesick. At first I loved living in Manhattan, but now not so much. It can be a very lonely place for those of us who have yet to establish any solid friendships. I've attended a few meet ups, but most of the people are cliquish.
I'll probably only be in NYC for another 2-3 years or so at most, just to get the work experience, then I'll transition back to Kansas City.
May be you can hook up with the famous...tht1guy... From Kansas City, he just moved to New York things are not.
Going well with him either. Look up one of his threads I think you both make a good couple. Hook Up And MOVE! To
Kansas City with him.
Well unfortunately you cannot escape being judged...
Well, I think that the fact is that as a black person you are going to face some degree of prejudice everywhere. I feel like a lot of people in minority groups (I am black, and LGBT) think that if they move to a big city or a liberal hub they will never experience prejudice/stereotyping. The fact is that sadly exists in some degree in every city.
You should be proud of who you are. If someone stereotypes you or views you negatively, they aren't worth your time. It isn't worth lying about your origin or upbringing. People say that this place and that place is judgmental but I think that the reality is, you will face judgment anywhere. You're in a great location as far as meeting diverse groups of people. Take advantage of it, the city has 8 million+ people. Ignore the negative people and find positive ones
