My error I should have written at age 92
The following is taken from Wikipedia:
Death
Moses died of heart disease on July 29, 1981, at the age of 92 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York. The title of his New York Times obituary package is both a found poem and a thumbnail sketch of his life and influence: "Robert Moses, Master Builder, Is Dead at 92; Robert Moses, Builder of Road, Beach, Bridge and Housing Projects, Is Dead; Associate of High Officials; The Grand-Scale Approach; Not a Professional Planner; Part of 'Our Crowd'; Into the Orbit of Power; Fur Coat or Underwear?; An Overwhelming Success; Long Court Fights; Drafted Park Legislation; Moses' Tactics Were Both Extolled and Criticized; Badly Beaten in Election; Built to His Own Tastes; A Sampler of Quotations by Moses; The Face of a Region; and How One Man Changed It."
Moses, born Jewish but converted to Christianity [14], was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx following services at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Bay Shore, New York

Didn't he blackball his own brother, a licenced engineer, so that he alone could get all of his mother's will??????

I think he had some issues with his brother long before the mother died.

I recall that, according to The Power Broker, the only person he genuinely liked and respected was Al Smith. Built the Central Park Zoo with him in mind as it was near his apartment.

Thats really random, did not know that he is up here. I probably could go take some pics. Maybe I will do it up tommorrow if I remember. The cemetary is huge though. Hopefully I will be able to find the thing.
There are lots of famous people buried in Woodlawn. LaGuardia, I think one of the Rockefellers, couple of musicians.
EDIT: How did Moses end up dying in Long Island if he didn't know how to drive?

Yeah I know its not public housing, I was just pointing out the irony of the situation. (Housing for Veterans being turned into luxury apartments).

Thats nuts. If I had the money I suppose I could justify paying $2,000 for a place there, but no way would I shell out $3,000.

This guy has plenty of income. He moved in when it was 2100 and then, every time they raised it, he thought about leaving but didn't want to deal with moving, broker fee, or the fact that all the other 1 BR that close to his work were either the same price or a lot smaller. I would not pay over 3000 for a 1-BR apartment myself but this place is very big and very nice. The LR is probably 15 x 26 or something. He could convert it to 2 and still have more of a LR than most of Manhattan.
