LOL What? DSNY has been 2 man truck for like over 20 years. We haven't had steps on our trucks for like 7 or 8 years.

What are you trying to prove here buddy? FYI A large amount of NYC is suburban house to house collection and not just urban bulk/project stops.

I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm just asking because I'm curious.

I saw a guy riding on the back of a DSNY truck just the other day, was he standing in the hopper or something?

And the in the suburban areas with one lane streets, do you do one side at a time or both at once?

You never saw a guy riding the back of the truck. You never saw it. Get it? Got it? Good!

I'm taking notes, using a highligher, etc.... It seems mostly like common sense no? (except for the specific numbers like stopping distances and oil pressure, etc)

We do 1 side at a time sometimes you get stuck with a runner who wants to do both but depending on the way the houses are set up it may only save like 10 minutes. Don't kill yourself get the rest and switch with your partner so you both stay fresh. I know in my garage we have death marches. Oh and WE DON'T RIDE THE TRUCK!
