You can sign up during the shift preference roster which you prefer to work nights or days, I recommend going nights because you get night diff. 12/8 is a great shift, going to the garage is great but coming home can be a drag depending where you are. Just remember not to loiter around, I myself prefer to do most conditions given.

I'm sure they'll throw us around where ever we'll be needed. If we have a choice to work evening or night, I would work 12-8am, the streets are empty, it'll be easy and quick completing the route with no civilians in the way.
I am taken a pay cut myself I've been wanting to join DSNY for little over 8 years. But like I said in my past post's I never had that opportunity because of my military service to this great country. With 2 deployments to Iraq and 2 surgerys. Now I've been giving this opportunity to join DSNY. I have a score in 200's and physical test is done with and passed.

Wooooh big day today. Ceremonies, more unnecessary pins to wear, official new dsny logo, expansion of textiles and compost incoming as 0 by 2030 kicks into high gear. And none of it matters because night plow is coming lol. But hey all the three stars and above got to show off their brass sitting on the dais. Despite the best efforts of Queens (lol) all eyes will remain fixed on BK6 and the dualy pilot program. Glad I don't work there.

Make sure you guys see how many night functions there are and who's signing first. Some garages you can't get nights, some you're stuck there whether you sign or not.
