Most New Yorkers seem to hate Starbucks. I don't hate it, I think it's just ok, but which places do you think a person should go to get great coffee in the city?
Starbucks is good, some of the idiots who hate on Starbucks for being too commercial blog about it on their latest Apple product. Do you see the irony?

Lol yep! There is nothing wrong with Starbucks. If I had one complaint it would be the some of the prices but other than that it's fine.
Starbucks is okay sometimes but overpriced. To my tastes I prefer their mixed coffee drinks because they hide the burnt taste of their coffee. I don't really like the way they roast the coffee.
You can definitely make better coffee at home yourself with a french press. It just takes a few minutes. Bustelo, Lavazza, or Joe coffee are good choices. If you have a little extra time you can buy beans instead of ground coffee and use a Burr grinder.

However I do get annoyed by people who don't know a lot about coffee saying Starbucks is the best or swearing by it. It's just corporate group think...
