Hey! So I applied to the Ocean Hill, Brooklyn lottery on a whim. I wasn't too interested but I applied anyway because I qualified. I just checked my log number and its in the One Hundreds (1xx's).Does anyone know about this particular area in Brooklyn. If I do get called I have two kids and would like to know about the neighborhood (6 , 3) I am currently living in the Jackson Heights / East Elmhurst / Corona area.

I'm about 15 min away in VilleGhanistan. Ocean hill still seems hood to me, and if you don't have a car you'll be relying on the b7 to get you to the J or the 3 trains if you need to go to Manhattan.

Honestly, you should just visit the area yourself and form an opinion from there. What some anonymous people say on this board means didly squat.

I haven't been down there in a few years. It was bad back then. Could have improved some.
Take the C to Ralph Ave. Walk around and see for yourself. Only you know what kind of neighborhood you're willing to live in.
