The 25 mph law is just a PR stunt and a way to make the DOT seem proactive in combating vehicle-pedestrian collisions. There should also be a parallel campaign educating pedestrians about obeying road laws and fining those who don't. I rarely drive because I work in the city but I find some of these fines and fees against drivers to be outrageous.

Because we currently have an administration which blames drivers for everything so they (the pedestrians) now believe that they can do whatever they want and get away with it. A few tons beats a few hundred pounds everytime, even those heifers wandering around who live on McDonald's and soda.

What about the cops that go 80MPH which is 30 above the limit in non emergency situations?

If you drive 25 mph and a police car is behind you they get pissed off too that you are going that slow...unless they are on ticket duty.
