New Yorkers believe quality of life in the Big Apple is rotting at the core, a new poll revealed Thursday.

Only 33 percent of Gotham residents said life here is “very good” or “good,” the lowest number Quinnipiac University has measured since it first polled on the topic in 1997.

“The quality of life in New York City isn’t good and it’s getting worse, many voters think,” said Maurice Carroll, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University poll.

What a powerful man to destroy Gotham in only 2 years

DiBlasio is repeating the politically fatal mistakes of his past boss David Dinkins.

Decriminalizing criminal behavior while simultaneously attacking home and business owners with excessive violation enforcement is a surefire way to insure his legacy as a one and done loser.

It a bitter pill for generally responsible property owners to swallow these large fines being written by some fat ass, loser Sanitation Agent for not sweeping their sidewalk each 20 minutes when your same property is getting tagged up every night by some misunderstood graffiti artist.

Same thing with traffic enforcement. These losers swoop down into working class areas hanging tickets on every vehicle in sight. Somehow, the same mayor is hellbent on having his little brownies write as many summons as possible while not really seeming to care if the same cars gets broken into each night by junkies and homeless criminals...

So true. Mayor DeBlasio is a disappointment. Most other Brooklyn residents know you can't succeed in NYC politics without helping small business owners, students, or working class residents. He grossly underestimated the real estate lobby & city unions. Under his watch, many city businesses have closed and the homeless population has increased. Independent voters like me will be happy to cut him and the mental hernia he gave us all.

Were trying to ban the tourist helicopters for quality of life issues. All our waterfront parks and Govenors Island are completely ruined by the sound of constant helicopter noise 7 days a week all day long

Mayor Guiliani banned then for our quality of life issues, of course greedy money hungry Bloomberg did not care about quality of life issues and re instated them.

DeBlasio is opposing the ban on the tourist helicopters Stop the Chop NYNJ - Home and he also does not care about the thousands of taxpayers and residents of both NJ and NY that pay a lot of money to live on the waterfront, not to mention all the money spent on our waterfront parks, and now the tranquality of a park in the middle of the city is gone because of constant helicopters flying over our waterfront parks 7 days a week, all day long, non stop.

We know this is a city and we know were going to have noise, must we have it in the sky as well?, this we can stop, we should stop, and we must. Our quality of life matters and DeBlasio needs to wake up already and get his head out of the ground.

so yes, our quality of life is at its worst. NYC has the worst noise pollution in the world, and a lot of it we can modify.

It's the new york post though.

They've been framing this argument since before De Blasio got in office. Not exactly a neutral party here...

Actually I think Barack Obama is more popular now than he was 2-4 years into his presidency
