Its never been easier to become a member of FDNY and she still couldn't cut it. There are people waiting for years to get their chance and people like this re-enter the academy after failing out and take a spot from someone who is ready and capable.
I wouldn't want her behind me in a burning building, or have her come into my burning house. This is not about diversity or women's rights its about being up to snuff to be chosen for a job that IS NO ONES RIGHT TO HAVE.
This is just another symptom of the 'gimme' society we live in.

In the NYPD we had a mans test and a separate womans test. Its a joke. Wait the perp runs slower if its a woman. The perp fights less if its a woman. Its a joke. The men are there to make up for the womens deficiencies!! Lets talk about PO Massimillo who had his female partners gun taken and he was killed with it!!! Of course there is silence on that!!!
honestly, you need women in the police department for domestic violence cases, female searches, to appeal to a "soft side" of a perp. I can see women having lesser physical requirements for PD's which they do, but for Fire Departments it is nonsense. Complete nonsense, Does anyone watch Chicago FD or whatever it is called with the hot 5'3 120 lbs firefighters LOL ..
