I sent the management company a letter with a self address envelope 2 months ago and I'm still waiting for an answer.

I was able to talk to someone at the building and what happened (this was in the board meeting minutes) was that they originally did a lotto for a 500 person list. However, they only got back 150 responses! Out of the 500 people selected only 150 were able to reply on time with the required deposit. So, they're reaching out to HPD to see what happened because that's extremely low and they think there might be an error.

So either two things are happening: one - the list is now only 150 people and they are going off of that, or two - things will be put on hold until they figure out with HPD why they only got 150 responses. It sounds like situation #1 is going on if your original number was in the 80s and now there are 49 people ahead of you.

Also I found out that the current STUDIO list at the building is small to basically non existent... so they plan on opening that up sometime next year

I wouldn't worry. If you received the original letter from TRS after you sent in your deposit, saying you are officially on the list, you're good.

Read my post above. The reason they could be taking long with the write-backs for the wait list inquiry is because they don't even know where the list is at. They are probably re-formulating the list because out of 500 people selected in the lotto, only 150 actually replied with deposits. So afaik the list is only 150 people.

That's great news, I agree that situation 1 will be their decision, they can't put the list on hold because people did not send their deposit, they will finish this 150 list and probably will do another one if still a lot of apartment are available , I'm so happy I can't wait!, any idea when they started the process? Someone said that they started to called people like in September ? , if that's true is very weird that that I went from 80s to 40s in the list in less then 3 months maybe people were not ready for deposit or not longer interested , some of them couldn't be reach?, if that's the case like in how long should my number be up? Like 2 or 3 months?
