I work near one and see them in welfare offices. I'm certain they are not poor but leech off government. Having 3-7 kids. They live in rich areas not ghettoes.
In popular belief, we assume Jews have money, they make up bulk of the 1 percent and the professional class, own businesses like doctors and law firms. And even control banking and finances such as Greenspan and yellen. Sadly there is still Jewish poverty but it is rarely seen or invisible.
Take the overwhelmingly Hasidic Kiryas Joel, the poorest place in America. As the Times reported last year, “half of [its] residents receive food stamps, and one third receive Medicaid benefits and rely on federal vouchers to help pay their housing costs.” And boy, do they have children: The median household in Kiryas Joel has six people, and the median age is twelve. Many of its men learn Torah full-time instead of working, and the community’s low high-school graduation rate would be even lower if its religious schools had real academic standards. These kids are hardly being “socialized to the world of work.” And it’s not just Kiryas Joel: back in 1996, at the heart of “welfare reform,” a full third of Williamsburg’s Hasidim received public assistance.

Agreed that there are people of all backgrounds (black, white, Jewish, Christian, etc.) who scam the government re: welfare benefits.
As for Hasidic Jews, not being poor: they do have a relatively high rate of poverty, largely stemming from a combination of factors: their large families, their poor education system that does not educate men or women properly in secular subjects and does not prepare them for college. Also, college is not encouraged in the Hasidic community (in fact, it is actively discouraged, especially for men).
As a result, men and many women in that community are not equipped to get good jobs to provide for their family.
As for them living in rich areas, that tends NOT to be true.
Borough Park, Brooklyn, one of the largest Hasidic/Orthodox areas in NYC has a high poverty rate, as an example.
As does Crown Heights, Williamsburg, etc.

Do tell ... so, we can assume that you followed each of them home to gain your evidence, knowing that without this you would look like a bigot or a complete moron (or a combination ...). Hey, excellent detective work. Need to expose these scamming families.
Be careful, though, this could be construed as stalking by the "PC police" so oft-mentioned here.
Also, being that the men are so orthodox, they cannot (or will not) obtain employment as they spend all their time praying or "studying" religious works. Jewish days of work prohibition for orthodox men are common.
