Does anyone know if Hidden Potential clients actually renovate the homes they buy?

I've been wondering the same thing about that Hidden Potential show in general. It always seems as if the designer always comes up with some stunning plan for the house and it seems like it almost always be more expensive than what they said it will cost.

Marx was right on this one thing... it's dangerous, on a social level, for the rich to be so rich and the poor to be so poor. And so you know you're not alone, it bothers me too. I don't want to begrudge hard-working people their fairly-gotten gains. But if I stay in NYC, all I'll ever do is rent, and I want to put money in my house so I can send my kids to college. It boggles my mind when I read the NYTimes' "What you get for 5 million..." real estate section, or when I see people plunking down 25% down-payments for million-dollar mortgages. Even to this day, ever having -- let alone spending -- a million dollars seems amazing to me. Where on earth do these people get the money?? |

Really? That's actually sad. They seem to spend a lot of time in the NY Tri State area as of late. People are so desperate to buy something here.

How do you know this? I've never seen them do a follow up to any of these shows. That's actually one of my complaints with Hidden Potential. You never find out if they bought the house, how the renos went or how much they went over budget (which you know they will).

Earlier seasons would show the result. It was exciting to see what people would do. I'm hoping they will do an update show in the future.
