The dress code on their website is listed as : Casual Dress. SO certainly a sport coat is fine and perhaps not even that is required.

You could browse through Instagram and look at posts tagged #Delmonicos to see what people have photographed there in the past year. https://www.instagram.com/explore/ta...monicos/?hl=en Can't guarantee that all pics tagged with that tag are shot in the location you're going to, but it could be a good start or overview.

I went to Delmonico's a few weeks ago in black jeans, heels and a nice blouse. My husband had on slacks and a button down shirt - no jacket or tie. It was either business casual or slightly dressed up.

The only place I can think of that really almost demands full dress up is opening night at the Met.
