I'd like to hear from anyone who owned, operated or frequented a "juice bar" in Manhattan in the 70s. By "juice bar" I'm referring to bars that served only juice and were associated with the disco scene and illicit methaqualone use. I would especially like to hear from anyone with positive memories of these bars.

My intent is to interview an owner, operator or frequent patron of one of these juice bars for a documentary project. Some names of old juice bars I've found include The Fudge Factory, The Zoo, and Forbidden Fruit. There are several others but I'm not sure whether they were clubs or "juice bars."

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
