After initially for more information to come out (and, in this case, given how information supportive of police officers in similar situations seems to always leak out, the lack contrary evidence/narratives is just as powerful) before passing judgment on the matter, I'm now ready to, on a preliminary basis, write that it looks like these police officers grossly violated the rights of this postal worker. No, I won't say that they did it because the postal worker was black, as I don't know these cops and not enough has been established to show that, but, regardless, their actions were shameful and a disgrace to the many good NYPD officers who do their job fairly and diligently every day. While I'm typically in favor of retraining for police misconduct that doesn't lead to serious injury/death, everyone involved here needs to be fired, IMO. This is because each of those officers was wiling to carry a lie and scar a man for life/probably end his career with the USPS. What would have happened if there was no video footage of the encounter, and it was, essentially, the words of 3-4 officers vs. a sole postal employee? If these cops were willing to abuse their authority/power in such a way, they've already blown it in my view.

You all act like the cops did this to the mailman. Yet this one received no media attention. Happened not too far away.

Thanks for sharing, I hope the clerk press charges. That fireman inspector is insane he deserve to get fired and jail time.

I don't know but after watching the video it seems like the clerk was provoking the fireman inspector. He was pointing and poking
the inspector while the inspecter was on the phone. The clerk hit him first and it seems as if the clerk was trying to punk the
fire inspected. I do not think the clerk has a case.
