Homes for rent within 1 1/2 hour from Manhattan with horse barns on the property.
Hi,
We are moving to NY and will be working in Manhattan. We have 3 dogs and 3 horses. We are looking for a home for rent with a barn on the propoerty. Does anyone know of anything? Thanks

Dutchess County has those. I've seen them periodically advertised in the Dutchess County Pennysaver. I would check out the Pennysaver online.

Bedford, Pound Ridge, and Katonah in Westchester have a lot of houses w/ horse barns, but it will cost some serious bank

We have country neighbors with horses in Bedford Hills. If you have a few million to spare on a house, then you've found your place.
Dutchess County isn't really within 1.5h of the city. Especially driving on the Taconic.

I live in Dutchess County (Fishkill) and it takes me 1 hour and 15 min to get into Manhattan every morning on the Metro North. If there's no traffic, it takes me the same time to drive. If traffic, more like 2 hours...to infinity. |
