That H&H does a pretty good wholesale/supply business (where do you think all those deli, sandwich places, and so forth get their bagels?) with trucks arriving all hours from around 12M through overnight, so doubt the place is totally closed after 9PM.

Nine in the evening until five-thirty or so the next morning is around eight hours, so am guessing the place eliminated a shift of counter workers and just concentrates on baking (with a smaller staff) during the overnight hours.

Spoke to friends who live around the corner from the place, and suffice to say there is drama! *LOL*

Am not going to give full details as don't want to put H&H's business all over the Internet. The bakery, wholesale operations over night is still open, but no retail.

Does anyone want bagels in the wee hours. After bar hopping I always wanted bacon and eggs at a GRIKS (Greek Diner.)

We got a nice new Deli that just opened on Third Ave between 93rd and 94th. I am hoping for a good hot pastrami sandwich ($9.95.) We will try tomorrow.
They advertise a free bagel with the first order. DH said the place looked nice.

I just misplaced the menu so I don't know the hours or the name of the place but bagel price is $1.25. I'll stick to Key Food for $.60...and delicious.

Aha: it's called the FILLMORE (cute) but they could have gone with FILLMORE EAST (better) but no hours listed and website is under construction.

The bagels are good. Just has one this morning. Saw the sign for the new hours. NYC is not quite the 24 hour operation it use to be.
