This was a petty crime. However it got out of hand if I were the cop regardless of the skin color I would have turn a blind eye.

Fact that these two got out on only $5K bail shows you how whipped NYC's criminal justice system has become under de Boob and the current CC. Fact that neither of these two inbred geniuses escaped without a scratch also shows the sad state of current affairs. Back in the day you beat down a NYPD and it was met with the appropriate response.
Mr. Telinde and his trampy looking gf will likely cop a plea to disorderly conduct and get ACD.
If the cop who received the beat down is smart he'll say "who needs this *s****" and file for disability. Seems only time the City cares about LE is when one of them is dead.

No officer is superman.
Honestly when they are going to go after fare evaders they need at least two cops. This wouldn't have happened if the cop had backup right next to him. And clearly if it's more than one fare evader you need more than one cop.
I also think had this been a Black couple one cop wouldn't have tried to ticket them. People in NYC can be simple minded and quick to stereotype and it sometimes backfires big time.
I recall being on the G train at night. It was empty. A young white man had his backpack on the seat, and was reading a book. He had on glasses. A NYPD officer made him get off the train and TICKETED him for TAKING up TWO SEATS though the TRAIN was EMPTY. In the mind of the idiot white officer, another white person was easy prey when he needed to make his quota.
But it looks like the idea of white people being easy prey when NYPD officers need to make their quotas has been throughly debunked after this cop got his ass kicked by this Virginia transplant couple. Never judge a book by its COVER.
