I'm surprised they are still doing interviews when more than half the people who had paperwork sent to HDC still havent been placed yet.

Definitely go! Best wishes to you

Lala,

Never put all of your eggs in one basket. I wish I got that many interview requests.
You should go to Dean. I can imagine that they haven't been able to fill the 2brs or 3brs. They're probably looking to fill.

Take the chance you lose nothing by trying. Go, interview and forget about it

I was emailed last night for an interview and so much has changed since applying. 1) new job making more money 2) other person on application lost job - but we still meet income requirements. Also, does it matter if the person that lost his job isn't on my current lease but lives with me. Technically their residency is in NJ, but he's been living with me and we haven't changed his permanent address on anything yet.

I just dont know how this works we may not meet income requirements for apartment they are considering us for, not sure. What do you all think, should I still pursue and just explain everything to them? OR explain before I go.

I was surprised to see that so many people were called in so long ago, what could be going on?

I also don't have any priority, or CB preference so ARG! I'm wondering how likely is this could happen.

Hi all,

It really is just a slow process. I've read other housing message boards and some of them take even longer.

I first interviewed in August and now, next week, I sign my lease and move in the beginning of March. So my whole process took about 7mo from start to finish. Keep hopeful, the building was mostly empty when I viewed my apartment in December.

(I have CB pref btw with a log number of #1XX.)

What I'm thinking is that it depends on what kind of apartments that they are renting out at the current moment. Is it studio's, 1Br's, 2Br's or 3 Br's? It would be telling to know the majority of apartments that have been approved.

OUT OF CURIOUSITY AND lala if you could answer too.

How many brs do you qualify for?

Also, you should go interview.
You don't know unless you try. That's my motto.
If you don't try you lose out, but if you try then there's still hope.

I had a choice between a studio or a 1 br as a single person.
