They went about it like Bin Laden himself was hiding out in the Metro North Plaza projects.
Isn't Metro North at 101st Street? <between Dollar Tree and the Social Security office, which I know well.>
Or is there another Metro North Plaza projects?
I'm willing to bet at least 70 percent of the guys arrested didn't do any of the crimes listed it's just with these conspiracy charges and the Rico law everybody in the group(or being perceived in the group)goes down. I knew a guy in college who sat in jail for almost 2 years awaiting trial because guys he took pictures with on Facebook were caught up in a large scale drug crime and was seen guilty by association.
Okay but how many of the gang members will actually be convicted & sentenced. I have a feeling they will receive a slap on the wrist and scurry back to the projects to conspire.
"Dozens of suspects were arrested early Wednesday in a wide-ranging investigation of rival street gangs that terrorized a Bronx neighborhood with crimes including murder, robbery and drug trafficking."
The NYPD doesn't collaborate with the FBI to give people slaps on the risk. Read the article and read the cost of the operation. This is a major operation. And put your politics aside.
These guys are going to do serious time. This is much better law enforcement activity than Stop and Frisk. Rather than bothering random people on the street, they did what law enforcement is supposed to do and went after major criminals.
