I definitely agree that race plays a huge role in how communities are perceived, it is starting to get better though.

I agree but I don't think there are many working class whites left in Woodside.

Yep, you can see it got better just by looking at CD posts over the years. I think the white flight mentality has been fading away.

White flight? It seems like blue collar whites have left areas like that, Bensonhurst and Ozone Park too for example.
