Why can't NYPD be like PD from other countries that have gun laws to use some real hand to hand combat techniques. Guns are for wimps. I see some juiced NYPD with a tiny gun in their belt. If you get beat, don't be pulling out a gun.

In some other countries LE are a department of the armed forces. As such they are kept to a different standard on many levels than you'd find in most local US police.

France is one such place: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Police_(France)

It's unfortunate the black kid riding his dirt bike around Harlem making all kinds of noise didn't get shot in the head.

If these fine young gentlemen were at work or doing something productive rather than loitering this would have never happened.

Sure the cop was a bit aggressive but I have no sympathy for low-lives.

We don't know what made the cop act like this and we are assuming "roid rage" based on a one sided video.

Questions:
Did this individual pose a threat earlier, off camera, that forced the cop to pull his gun? Did he brandish a knife or gun off camera at the cop? Was the cop forced to come at him like that so that he didn't have a chance to pull out whatever he was holding in his hands earlier and possibly cause someone to get hurt?

Let's stop reacting to these heavily edited video's that cause marches in the streets based on half truth's and lies. Remember "hands up don't shoot?" yea it was proven MONTHS later no one ever had their hands up. But yet the lie is still perpetuated.

Yes - there are criminal cops out there that make their way through training and deserve to be in jail, but lets stop assuming ALL cops we see on video are bad. That's like assuming just because someone watches video's of black males committing crimes, that ALL blacks are guilty of crimes. Works both way folks.
It's almost always like this. Edited video to make the cop look bad and then the CD peanut gallery chimes in. These amateur mind readers and fortune tellers know exactly what happened from an edited 30 second video. Also consider the source of some of these threads, known cop haters all. They don't have an objective bone in their bodies.
