To act as if certain boroughs/neighborhoods are somehow as safe as other areas would be actually lying and putting others in harms way. My apologies if my brutal honesty offends any of you. Have a splendid night!
If that's your intent, it would be a lot more objective if you just linked them to the NYPD crime rate map.

Again, if these REAL LIFE news events are somehow offensive to you allow me to remind you again -- we live in AMERICA. We have FREEDOM OF CHOICE. You do not have to click on my threads.

My intent is to keep the Midwest transplants well informed about certain areas of New York that are sketchier than others. I'm not going to sit here and lie to these people that certain areas of New York are not as safe as others. While you may feel fine doing that I do not. Again, if my real news stories I post offend you do not click.

I didn't say it was offensive. I chose to click on this thread and I chose to respond.

I'm lost. Sounds to me like some folks here don't want news reports of the daily murders in NY Boro's to be published? Whats the reason?

I'm trying to figure that out myself. I didn't make these shootings/stabbings/quality of life issues up. I commented that Willamsburg was "boring" to me but I didn't hear these people on my crime threads all up and arms about that. But when I post real life happenings from the Bronx to Brooklyn it's somehow a problem now.

My agenda is first and foremost to keep these Midwestern transplants well informed. It would a damn shame to hear someone got raped/robbed/murdered because he/she was informed by someone on this website that it was "perfectly fine" for a Michigan born girl to live in the South Bronx. A lot of transplants come on here asking if they'll run into trouble living in certain areas of New York. I'm here to tell them yes, it is extremely likely, you will run into problems.

Sad isn't it?
All these cops going around and shooting people on a holiday weekend. I just don't get it.

He's afraid of gentrification and wants to stop his rent from going up more! Other threads have complained about Amazon delivery in the Bronx and "how can I apply for section 8."

Chicago seems to be having a particularly bad year. Not 80s and early 90s bad, but pretty bad.
