I was told that it stands for "Down Under [the] Manhattan Bridge Overpass" -- but I'm not certain.

Whether or not that's correct, it's a gentrifying area of Brooklyn .....

It's a part of Williamsburg where artists fled when they were priced out of Soho. Now they're being priced out of DUMBO.

It is NOT a part of Williamsburg. It is an old industrial area between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges that is now very expensive and filled with luxury lofts and new condos. In my opinion it is a great neighborhood with loads of character and awesome Manhattan views but make no mistake, it is 100% definitly NOT a part of Williamsburg. It is at least a few miles from Williamsburg.
