Thanks diddlebee! Got to check out the apt today. Couldn't open the door though, there's a technique to unlocking it. Did anyone else experience unlocking issues?

Is it me or is it cold in here...I don't know how to work the thermostat and heaters wont go above 67. I didn't have to use them until today. It feels like cool air coming thru the PTAC units.

There's also no hot water . It's just barely lukewarm. I just got back from work and was hoping to take a hot shower.

I'm going to assume that the building is working on the heating system and turned it off to do so. hopefully it's only last night. They should have informed us though

I'm hoping its a user issue. I pressed the cool button and hot air is coming out in all of my units. I've been trying to youtube the unit to see if it has something to do with the thermostat.

So..I left the living room and bedroom units on all nite despite them blowing cool air. I was hoping they had to be on for awhile to kick in. The bedroom is toasty. The unit is blowing warm air but not the living room..still cool. I read elbasurero''s post and switched to cool..and lo and behold it's blowing hot air now.

The only remedy was to open it several inches more which brought the howling noise down a lot but now i had to contend with sleeping in a cold room . I ended up using a thick comforter but at least the noise was better. I'm guessing that there must be gap in the window perhaps due to how they were installed but it's just as bad in the living room windows

omg i have the same issue but is getting worse since the heat is not working at all.
