I'd like to see Phantom of the Opera again while I am in town if I could get a ticket at a reasonable price (probably not).
I went to the website and the standing room tickets are $27 each. Standing room seats usually offer bad views correct? They also have the digital lottery where you could win a ticket for $28 each but again, are those usually awful seats? Play at is at the Majestic.
Try the TKTS booths. I've always seen that show available and at very reasonable prices.
I went on Yelp and I'm confused about the TKTS booths. Are the tickets usually good? The only play I want to see is Phantom. I downloaded an app for discount tickets and there's tickets for $99 (includes all the fees) for side orchestra. Is TKTS usually cheaper than that?

Yes, TKTS is generally cheaper than that in my experience. But, with one exception, TKTS is for samthe day shows (I think the South Street Seaport booth sells next day matinee as well).

You have to give up 2 hours of your time though to stand in line?

I've never waited more than 5 minutes in line Downtown Brooklyn. And, even with the Times Square lines, such a long wait would include waiting for the booth to open (once that happens, the lines really move pretty quickly).
No, standing room doesn't necessarily mean bad views. It just usually means in the back of the orchestra. It's most often an excellent view, just a little far back.

Kind of a dumb question, but can you bring a chair in lol?
You can't bring a chair in. Unless you're in a wheelchair, then yes.
Go to Theatermania.com and click on Discount Tickets. You can get a discount code there that you can use to buy tickets online, by phone, or at the box office.

Yeah I did that with Theatermania and Broadway Box or whatever it's called. $101 with fees and everything. You think it's possible to get a front mezz or rear orchestra any cheaper than that?
