There is nothing wrong with NYDN, it is functioning as intended as an organ of the ruling class social engineering machine. The American masses are managed on a divide and conquer model. It's a liberal rag and has been for a long time. I do admit they do a better job covering local news than the post which is the only reason I go on their site. If the Post would focus less on Page Six and more on being a day to day NY newspaper they'd be set.
They are just as nasty but a bit more discreet about it.

NY Post is worse though. The NYDN removed the comments section because of the racist and homophobic messages that were often posted. Several other sites/blogs are removing their comment section because of these said trolls.
If you don't like it, don't waste time reading it.

There real estate section loves to troll people, like if everyone is a multi-millionaire. They probably get a lot of clicks as the average person hate reads it.
