Good luck everyone.
Here is some update about East Tower rooftop. It is anticipated to open this season, but they are pending a specific opening date. There will be a membership fee in order to access the rooftop.
Once ready they will have the confirmed opening date and reservation documents, and more information regarding pricing and guest polices.

Thanks for the encouragement. This thread helped me with this process for sure. I also read you cannot hang anything not even a picture frame on your wall. What if you plan to stay for 5 years or more? How would they know? Can they terminate your lease if you do ?

Actually that's not the case. You can't drill into the exterior walls (walls on the window/copper side). That prohibition is articulated in the strongest possible language, so ... you shouldn't do it. Regular picture hanging on the interior walls is allowed; deep drilling into interior walls has to be approved by management in advance and the work has to be performed by a contractor/service provider that management approves.

How long from you viewing your apartment, to sending your paperwork to HPD to getting completely approve to come in to sign your lease took? I already saw my apartment. HPD told me they have my paperwork and have not looked over it. Just curious. This process seemed longer than the 5 months of paperwork and its only been 10 days.

We were interviewed last summer.. just recently asked to update docs.. now I guess we wait. Havent signed for HPD nor have we seen a unit. Its a crazy waitinf game, and heart wrenching.. but rewarding in the end.
What size unit are you waiting for? What is your log # range?
