I am thinking of the tower which is on Emmons avenue. The building may be only 7 stories high but it's severely wide, with black glass sidewalls, in sharp contrast with the surrounding brown brick and gray buildings. No peace and harmony in that landscape.

The 7 story condo going up on emmons is tiny, wait till the 30 story tower on voorhies ave next door to sheepshead bay train station goes up, as well as a few others about to be built, not including the 40 foot tower off of neptune ave and west 8th. Coincidentally the L line is about to be out of service for 2-3 years, guess where you can save 1k+ a month on rent, 15mins away from barclay center, at a B,Q line near you!

We won't recognize sheepshead bay a couple years from now and there's already little to no parking as it is.

In what world is it 15 min from the Sheepshead Bay station to Barclays? It's at least double that.

Sheepshead will be just as recognizable as it is today. The predominant groups will stay Russian and Chinese.

I agree with this. I think there would have been another mega tower had landmark status not been given to Lundy's.

Staten Island will probably remain largely the same for a very long time. They have the NY wheel being worked on that will bring more people to the area, but it's opening has been pushed back several times.

Anytime I have gone to Staten Island, I have felt like I am really far out. Great places like this are still around in the 5 Boroughs.

You're not doing less than 20 minutes unless you're non rush hour and the train operator is absolutely flooring it. That's best case.

I'm not saying it's not fast. The B and D express trains are probably the fastest and most reliable lines in the entire system. It's not 15 minutes though.

at a B,Q line near you!

Every time I see mention of the Q train, I get an erection.
Alas, I spoke to an electrician wiring up the SAS on Saturday and he said there is no chance that the subway will be running by years end.
