The content of my post screams this poster's name for most anybody who knows him. Hence my "you must be new here" comment.

It's much more fun to me without any kind of *sarcasm* tag.

Plus, living in a NYC ghetto is way better than living in a LI ghetto in my opinion.

Most of them are native New Yorkers, at least the former

I personally want to move to Long Island. Nassau County is like a better version of Queens. Of course, if I did I would prefer to work in LI.

I don't think the two are anything alike lol, even Valley Stream to Rosedale is a pretty big change

bay terrace is actually more in parts like the gables , bay club , towers at waters edge , etc which is across the street from us . bay terrace is mostly co-op and condo , the rest of bayside is mostly private homes . it is hard to compare directly . some of the most expensive building in all of bayside are here in bay terrace.

the express bus is still a bus ride , to me it stinks . we much prefer the LIRR . if i worked in manhattan that is the only way i would go daily

If you don't live within walking distance of the LIRR then you'll either have to get a taxi or car to get to the station.

Do they let you chain up bikes at LIRR stations?
On 40k you won't have a comfortable existence anywhere in the Northeast, it's just not enough. That's entry level money.

That's not true, that would be a decent salary if you lived in Pennsylvania or upstate New York
