I would have liked to attend that open house, but I couldn't get out of work. I'm also disappointed about the white appliances. But, I am happy about the ac in the main rooms. Did they do the bamboo floors? Thanks for the info neighbor.

Yes all the floors are bamboo. You should call them today and see when is the next time they are going to have a open house.

I was told, that they are waiting for a certificate of occupancy. Once they recieve that, they will begin scheduling closing dates. Have you heard anything new?
I am glad that I am not the only one from Brooklyn relocating to the Bronx. It's a big step, but if you want change, it has to be done. We have not heard anything yet and are still waiting for that certificate. I hope to be moving soon, though. I went to the open house and loved what they did with the building. I was totally satisfied with the structure and space. I guess the waiting continues....

I know that we were supposed to have the stainless steel appliances, but we should be happy that we got appliances at all. That's just one of the minor things that we can change later on. It does specifically say in the offering plan that if we don't get stainless steel, that would we get something of equal value, thus, the white appliances. I am very happy about the ACs though, so I guess if I had to make a choice to either have stainless steel and no ACs, I would pick what we have. This way, we don't have to buy air conditioners, saving us a little money.

I am happy to know, that I am not the only brooklynite relocating to the bronx. Most people I tell that I'm moving to the bronx, think I'm nuts. I looked around the area before I signed the contract. I saw a neighborhood in transition. Right now the area is affordable. I'm sure there will be a time when it won't be. Thanks neighbor for the info. If you hear anything new please post. I will do the same.

Great. I know that this is a big transition, but we will manage. It's not like we are moving out of the Country. We will definitely keep each other posted on the happenings of our condo.

I know of what I speak of you silly rabbit. There are tag signs all over the doors. I drive thru the area everyday. And if you know anything about that area, you'd know dem folks gonna be standing in the freezing rain, as most of the bus stops in that section of the Bronx DO NOT HAVE BUS SHELTERS. I know fo the C-town and they have very lil fresh fruits and veggies. If you wanna 10 cans of processed GOYA Beans for $10 then that's a great buy I guess (wink).

Oh and I'm CALLING the AURORA, as if I would be forced to live in that section of the Bronx, I'd rather have indoor parking and a friggin doorman (wink wink) cuz I do work late at night

Oh yeah, the best thang in that area is this lil Jamaican Restaurant called "FINE STYLE" that's if you're into West Indian Food. Other than that there's a Domino on the same block and plenty of bad diners.

And they've started on the Dorado that's across the street from the Orion. I was over there last night. Get ready for the loud music that's blasted from that lil Spanish Music store a half a block away. Yeah, yall gonna need that A/C to drown out the gun shots and the loud music from that stow

And this so called shopping district they speak of....trust me, dem folks moving into The Orion and gonna find nuttin over there to puchase. I mean come on CONWAYS....PRETTY GURL FASHIONS and Eileen Fisher and Donna Karan. Oh there's SOUND CITY APPLIANCES and sells nuttin but refurbish ISH at retail prices..........WOW!!!!

A neighhood needs more than a few high priced condos to develop the culture. There ain't ISH happening in that part of town to fork over that kinda dough to live in the midst of a friggn GHETTO.

jogrant110...your view on the community has been noted. So why do you keep calling the condos to try and buy a unit? Anyone that says "dem folks" and "gonna find nuttin" will not be able to afford these condos anyway...which is why they are not calling you back. Take a hint and move on.

From what I can tell about the Orion, they are still selling..although much slower. When I checked there last there were "only" 12 units available..but I don't remember. Anyone know how many are still left?

In all honesty i have thought about the whole bus stop thing. I dont want people waiting for the bus standing in the vestibule of my building, So I'll give you that. If there is ever a problem with loud music i have no problem telling them to lower it or call the police to give them a ticket. As far as shopping, i like both discount stores as well as high end stores, so i dont see the problem with that. As a matter of fact i just brought my coffee table set from the creative furniture store across the street (i love it). I dont really go to the supermarkets in the bronx anyway, just if i run out of something. I dont consider 3rd ave the ghetto. I have seen the ghetto, and if you think 3rd aves bad you aint sense nothing. I'm glad you are not moving in to the neighborhood, you just keep driven thru and you'll see the change!

JTS yeah the furniture there is really interesting...I liked their stuff. If you have a problem with music, the cops will take care of it. I have called the cops a few times on people playing music...problem solved! Same goes for the bus stop..if you have problems with people congregating in the lobby...you can just put a lock AND a camera..so if anyone does anything silly..it will be on tape..problem solved.
