No information on the building, but that's the neighborhood where I teach -- and I'd never pay that kind of money to live in the area .....

Squeezebox...you clearly do not know or understand the current RE market in NYC, nor are you aware of the changes that are being implented in Melrose, and that huge development that encompasses the Orion in particular. Feel free to pay $1,000,000 for similar condos in 116th in East Harlem across the street from the projects...that seems a better fit for you.

WOW! Great to see some new development catering to the middle class. Check out this brochure for the project (occupancy expected Spring 2008):
http://www.procidarealty.com/propert...ures/orion.pdf
Question:
Is there any nearby subway stop? From the map on the brochure it doesn't look like it.

If your smart you can avoid all the ghetto bs even living in an area like that. The prices are very fair. Anyone have more info, please do share.

Guy I thought you are not a fan of the 2 and 5 train . I am happy to see these go up.

I am not a fan at all of the 2/5 train, however jeff asked if there were trains around, so I indicated which are there. I, however, would be taking the MetroNorth if I were to reside there.

Well until they improve the frequency at the Melrose station you'll get downtown alot faster on the 2 or 5.
